“Church Communications” usually starts with the intention to inform the local congregation. While the definition of who our “congregation” is grows with our online audience, the visitors and volunteers that serve our campuses every week need to leave with the right information to get involved and stay informed!
Social and digital
This is where communicating “in the year we live in” really takes place. Whether it’s on Facebook, Instagram, e-newsletters, Whatsapp groups, or other digital platforms, the direct and instantaneous messages that we distribute will always be the most powerful part of our call-and-response engagement.
Website
Our website is our 24/7 portal for all information to new guests, volunteers, giving members, online audience, and outsiders looking for prompt, up-to-date information. While not every strategy is web-driven, all information should ultimately be populated through the church website for continuity.
Livestream
We all know that streaming video church services helped us survive the pandemic as a church. But did you know that our live stream and online video strategy goes beyond that? From Zoom meetings to video membership classes, online streaming is changing how we engage on mission with Jesus.
